Ilya Tsinis joins our Math program with over ten years of teaching experience after having graduated from Princeton cum laude with an engineering degree in operations research.
He discovered his love of teaching while at Stuyvesant High where he was the school math team captain, and as a senior had the unusual opportunity to teach a class of over 20 freshmen for an entire school year.
While Ilya loves exploring interesting and tricky math problems, it’s the process of developing the student as a complete human with empathy, critical thinking, organization and problem-solving abilities which will help them in all areas of school and life. After all, ‘everything is connected’.
