Mathew Lerman”ator” wins U1600 Fall Ostfeld Memorial Competition; Rhee, Rasol, 2nd, and 3rd respectively!
Much like a severely greying governor Arnold S. in the Terminator series Mathew Lerman was “back” as the winner of this year’s first u1600 Fall Ostfeld Memorial competition. Mathew was perfect winning all four games as well as the 150 dollar first place prize.
Zhin-Pyang Rhee was second with two wins, a bye, and a draw which earned him 112.50 for second place.
Sophie Rasol won 75 dollars for third place for three wins following a first round loss.
Four players got ten bucks for two points out of four and the best results of players rated u1400. The happy winners were Anthony Gurunian, Grant Goldman, Alex Hao, and Malina Pavlova.
Finally Dina Brustein won 37.50 for her one and a half points and best result of a player rated under 1200.
Sixteen players competed in the u1600 Fall Ostfeld Memorial competition.
