Mr. Mcdonald Wins u1600 Ostfeld Memorial event!

Newcomer Edward Mcdonald won the u1600 Ostfeld Open event this past November 15^th at our bi monthly Dr. Ostfeld memorial competition. Edward won three games and drew one to claim the 140 dollar first place prize.  His lone draw came against second place finisher Wen Lara Castillo, who also drew his first round game and thereby finished in second place garnering 105 dollars for those efforts.

Four people tied for third place/u1400 prize based on a two-and-a-half point total and they were John Muth, Eric Wu, Daniel Slavin, and Sophie Rasol. Each got 26.50 as a result.

Finally, to round out the Jarod Bernard got 35 for two points out of four and the best result of a player rated under 1200.

Only eleven players competed in the u1600 Open this time around which was uncharacteristically low for this section.
