GM’s Fishbein, Benjamin, and IM Zlotnikov win
Winter Ostfeld Memorial Open event!
It was a three way tie at the top as Grandmasters Alex Fishbein, and Joel Benjamin drew their last round game and got three and a half points total each. Joining the two was IM Mikhail Zlotnikov who drew his last round game against Gregory Markzon to also pick up three-and-a-half points. Each of them will receive 175 dollars for finishing atop the leaderboard.
Nicholas Cardenas got three points and won 70 dollars for best result of a player under 2200, while Glenn Cabasso got the same total and prize amount for his three points and best result under 2000.
Gregory Markzon, and Mike Semel picked up two-and-a-half points each and got 26.25 for best results of players over the age of 55.
Abhinav Chinnambeti also scored two-and-a-half points but got 70 dollars on account of the fact that he had the best result of a player under a rating of 1800.
Derek Clasby, and Joshua Lerman got 26.25 each for two points and best results of players under the age of 13.
Finally, Ashwin Anbu and Eric Wu got 35 dollars each for scoring one-and-a-half points.
Twenty-seven players competed in the ICA Winter Ostfeld memorial open competition.
