U1600 Ostfeld Championship

Christopher Copeland won first place and 140 dollars for his three and a half points in the u1600 Ostfeld Memorial championship held this past November 6^th at Bergen Academies in Hackensack. Christopher defeated second place winner ica student Malina Pavlova who scored three points out of four and only lost to the top place player. Malina earned 105 dollars for the result.

Three players tied for third place with two-and-a-half points and they were Gracy Prasanna, John Muth, and Kenneth Telebrico. This prize also pooled the money for the top spot for a player under the 1400 rating range.

Finally, Austin Chen got 35 dollars for one-and-a-half points and best results of a player with a rating under 1200.

Twelve players competed in the u1600 this time around.
