The ICA & USA Are Headed To
The World Cadets Chess Championships in Chile!
Once again ICA students are headed to the Youth World Championships in Chile to represent the USA, ICA, and themselves.
Three ICA students are in the hunt this year and all three are from GM Alex Stripunsky’s “Masters” class (minimum rating 1600):
Alexander Wang who recently came off of winning the 2018 CONIC championships will compete in the boys u8 section.
Ryan Zhu who finished second at the recent national championships in Nashville (k—1 section) will also compete in u8.
Finally, and not to be outdone, Ryan’s older sister Florina will play in the u10 section for girls.
