2019 Summer Camp Week 2 Teaneck

Report on WEEK 2 - Teaneck

Report on WEEK 2 - Teaneck

This was a great week - Teaneck Camp had 26 super creative campers, who were passionate not only in chess, but also in math, music and politics! Last week, our chess camp in Teaneck turned into a “think-tank” reflecting the National Debate of Democratic Candidates.

Now, our old game “Who will be the next president” maybe considered as a training center where all greatest (or silliest) ideas are born.

Regardless of whether you find our ideas great or silly, the candidate Andrew Yang takes them seriously - last debate, he proudly promised to give $1000/month to every adult if he is elected. The idea was already presented by our camper Matt back in 2016 during Summer Camp in Teaneck.  Check out the video of our 2016 mock election.

Mr. Yang - make sure to give credit where it is due!

Chess provides the opportunity to look wildly while staying organized. That’s why our campers have time for everything!

As usual, ICA offers many trophies, medals and prizes in various nominations! We are very happy to see our campers leaving on Friday with prizes and satisfaction from the progress they have made during the week!

Check out our best students and winners in each of these chess groups, formed in accordance with their chess skills:

Lily has been a student at ICA for over 7 years, and, in March, she won ICA Open U1600 Section with a perfect score (4 out of 4). And now she is back with her famous dodgeball throw- the “Lily Throw!”
