Spain Names School after Bulgaria's Topalov

Las Palmas, a Spanish city on the Canary Islands, will name a primary school after Vesselin Topalov.

The Bulgaria-born world chess champion has lived in the city for two years.

Topalov will be present at the ceremony for naming the school on November 24, media say.

His stay on the Islands will be followed by chess sessions against local businessmen and politicians.

The Bulgarian genius will play simultaneously on 20 chess-boards, according to the Bulgarian National Radio.
