Our traditional Super Saturday tournaments are back - VIRTUALLY!

The entry fee is $27, and the prize for 1st place in each section is $60. We will create sections based on USCF classical ratings, aiming for four players in every section. We reserve the right to create larger sections in an effort to create better rating distributions, and there will be additional prizes awarded accordingly.

Registration will close at exactly 11:59 pm on the day before the tournament, and the tournament will begin at exactly 1:30 pm. On Saturday morning, you will be sent a link that will allow you to join a
chess.com club corresponding to your section.

You will join the tournament that will be running in this club. Pairing will be provided here and updated for each round at the conclusion of the previous round. Sections with an average rating under 1000 will play G/30;+5, and sections with an average rating of 1000 or more will play G/45;+5.

All games will be observed and all communication during the tournament will be accomplished via Zoom (the link for which will be sent along with your section). Please download it before signing up for the tournament. In addition to Zoom, we will use chess.com’s cutting-edge anti-cheat protocols to ensure fair play during the tournaments.

Prizes will be paid 72 hours after the conclusion of the event (this is the amount of time it takes for chess.com to review all of the games to ensure fair play rules were observed).

Due to recent cheating accusations that have been plaguing not only our events, but events all across the chess world, we are going to be following official recommendations to institute a 2-camera setup for our higher rated players effective immediately.
What this entails is that all players in over 1000 sections will be required to set up 2 cameras during their games.

One of their faces, and one pointed at their computer monitor. It is unfortunate we need to take such measures and we realize this will be difficult for some players to abide by. Cheating is something we take very seriously and with recent events, such measures have become necessary. Please let us know if you have any questions and be aware that this rule will be enforced strictly. If you cannot conform to this setup, you will not be able to play! We will be allowing a one-week cushion period as we realize it will take some time to get any necessary equipment. Beginning on 11/21 and after, higher rated players must be equipped with this set up to play!
