In the booster section, 12 rookie tournament players, returning and new, battled against each other in 4 intense rounds. Even with the relatively slower G25 + 3 time control, the players, young and old, quickly ended their games with classic queen and helper, scholar, and windmill checkmates. Although the games in the booster section may have displayed unpredictable and unusual opening and middle game play, they were exciting for everyone involved. Congratulations to Abhiraam, Callista, and Abhishek for earning 3+ points in the section, and thereby receiving the right to play in the higher section in the next progressive tournament on July 25th. Special congratulations to Abhiraam for winning all 4 of his games and 1st place in the section!
Steppingstone 5 Report
Bentley Zeewon the tournamnet by scoring perfect 4 points. Five participants: Siddharth, Leon, Shiv, Achyut and Avyay tied for 2nd place with 3 out of 4 points. Congartulations to Siddharthand Leon whomade their second norm, and now have to pass the test to get 5th category title. Bentley, Shiv, Achyut, and Avyaymade his first norm. Overall, everyone playedwell with great fighting spirit.

Only four studnets participated in this section. Ido Alkinwon the tournamnet with a perfect 3 out of 3 points and made 1st norm for Category 4 title – Congratulations!
