Our Master (1400+) and Future Master (1200+) Classes at ICA are always a favorite, led by well-respected instructors, GM Alex Stripunksly, GM Gennady Sagalchik and WGM Irina Levitina. As many ICA students can attest, taking a class with GM Stripunsky will help take your game to another level. GM Stripunsky has gained great respect and recognition as one of America's Elite Grandmasters and is known as one of the Premier Chess Coaches in the US after serving as one of the trainers for the historic 2004 Women Olympiad Training Squad and as Coach of the Women’s Olympian Team. Our own WGM Irina Levitina is always a student favorite. Her impeccable pedigree includes four-time Soviet Women's Champion, 1971, 1978 (jointly), 1979, and 1981. Then, in 1984 she was a World Championship Candidate before immigrating to the US in 1990 where she became the U.S. Women's Champion in 1991 (jointly), 1992, and 1993 (jointly). ICA is once again thrilled to team with the incomparable GM Gennady Sagalchik for an Online Master Class for rated players 1400+. Get ready to be confronted with the way you analyze and challenge yourself to take your game to another level. GM Sagalchik is an extremely well-seasoned and experienced scholastic coach, having become a coaching institution in the Tri-State area for well over a decade. Born in the former Soviet Union and playing at the highest level since a youth as part of the integrated Russian Chess system, he moved to the US where he secured his GM title and started training top scholastic players. Coach G is known for turning his students into National Champions and guiding them in consistently qualifying for the World’s Youth Championships. He has also helmed two Team East winning teams, so get yourself ready for February! With his engaging style, Coach G has become one of the top advocates of popularizing chess in all areas of the US.
