Glen Rock Summer Camp Week 6 Report

Glen Rock Summer Camp Week 6 Report

What are the odds that Kate and Emma are bughouse partners again? Out of all 6 weeks of camp, they were only able to be partners for the first two weeks. Nonetheless, these two are inseparable. This week, they were actually paired together and their performance was terrific because of that. Even though they did not score first place, they still placed as one of the top teams and most importantly, they had fun!

We might as well call Quenton a “junior junior coach”. This week, all the junior coaches were surprised but also thankful how Quenton always helped bring the equipment and waters everyday. There was one day where he helped carry all 3 water bags (those bags can get heavy).

Terrible form, decent effort though! During dodgeball and even during bughouse Fridays, kids will sometimes misbehave or be loud when they're not supposed to. As a result, we have a reward for them - 10 pushups! It looks like Leon and Anderson learned how to do push ups this week.

What are the odds? Stella despite all the doubt has won every game in the Friday Blitz and Bughouse tournament. This terrific performance led her team to a first place victory. Stella at just 6 years old has achieved a first place prize and most importantly had an amazing time!

In the world of chess, a young enthusiast named Christopher Lu had an extraordinary week of achievements. Spending countless hours playing Blitz games against the Junior Coaches at his local chess club, Christopher rapidly improved his skills, surpassing his peers and impressing the seasoned coaches. His dedication and progress stand as a testament to the power of practice and the support of mentors. Christopher's journey serves as an inspiration, showing that with passion and perseverance, anyone can make remarkable strides in their chosen pursuit.
