Get ready for the New Years Blitz, the best way to end the year!
This tournament will consist of three sections: the unrated section, the U1600 section, and the Open section. All unrated players will play five matches, while the rated sections will play seven matches. The time control for unrated and U1600 is G5, while the time control for Open is G3+2.
The start time for ALL sections is 11:00 AM on New Years Eve! Registration closes the night before, December 30th, at 11:59pm.
In addition, we will be awarding prizes for best costumes/outfits! Paraticipants are encouraged to wear costumes or suits, whichever suits their style best!
Each section will be competing for prizes: the rated sections will be competing for cash prizes while the unrated section will compete for chess books and sets! More information about prizes is contained in the registration link.
