This camp is designed for talented youth with a rating over 1600+. This weeks is for players who aspire to achieve the National Master level. The classes focus on three key aspects of the game: 1. Technique of playing thematic positions 2. Calculation and imagination 3. Practical decisions in unclear positions.
The classes at our camp are designed to be lecture/interaction intensive, providing a unique learning experience. Participants will have the opportunity to solve real game problems in a game-like setting, simulating the actual game situation and enhancing their understanding of chess.
Furthermore, the camp participants will be given a self-evaluation measure of their work as an indicator of their progress throughout the week.
Students will register for either the day camp or overnight camp. All students will participate in activities such as chess training sessions and sports sessions from 9am to 5pm. After the commuter students leave, the overnight students will participate in a 90 minute recreational session to refresh the mind. Activities include: bowling, ping pong, miniature golf, soccer, and more! Campers will then have dinner as a group and go to bed at 10pm.
