Glen Rock Summer Camp Week 3 Report

I don’t know what the kids did this week but at one point I happened to turn around and saw the Glen Rock police involved…and that officer sure seemed like he was throwing the ball with mean intentions! I’m not well versed on the local town ordinances but I suspect it may just be a crime to have this much fun.

As it later turned out a “wise guy” camper named Tony was the one to get the policeman out (he caught his throw).

Thank you to Glen Rock police and their “community outreach” which sends officers into the “field” to engage with kids in the local park where we do our daily sports activities.

Thursday was also Independence Day so only a handful of campers showed up which fortunately for them (and unfortunately for everybody else) meant they didn’t miss out on our yearly “man vs beast” competition, involving bears, chimpanzees, orangutans, a sumo wrestler, gymnast, and competitive hot dog eating champion Kobayashi. Oh, and popsicles. The winner of the event was Max with a near perfect score. Apologies but that is all I am liberty to divulge at the moment.

Beyond this we also had our traditional tournaments, sports groups, best students in each study group, and dodgeball/ “Circle of Doom” winners. The summary of the results which you can find in the master prize list attached to this report.
