Teaneck Summer Camp Week 8 Report

This week's rainy weather at Camp led to an exciting indoor blitz chess tournament. Over two days, we held 8 rounds of fast-paced games, with each player having just 5 minutes per game.

The competition was fierce, culminating in a tie between Trary and Mexim, both scoring 6 points. Their tiebreaker match ended in a draw, leading to a final decisive game.

In a thrilling conclusion, Trary clinched victory with a brilliant sacrifice, winning the tournament. The blitz format provided an exhilarating challenge, combining quick thinking with chess strategy and making the most of our rainy days at Camp.

Friday's camp event featured an exciting blitz and bughouse chess tournament. Rounds alternated between fast-paced individual blitz games and team-based bughouse matches.

Blitz rounds tested players' quick thinking under time pressure, while bughouse allowed teams to strategize and exchange pieces for coordinated attacks.

The tournament was intense and competitive, showcasing impressive chess skills throughout. After a thrilling finale, team Gilad and William claimed victory.

This successful event has built excitement for next week's chess competition, promising more strategic challenges ahead.
