Our epic event was divided into four thrilling sections: K-4 Unrated, U600, U1000, and U1400. With 34 eager players, the tournament was a buzzing hive of strategy and excitement! Some sections followed the round robin format, while others were played in the Swiss format.
The K-4 Unrated section was a wonderful playground for new chess enthusiasts to dive into the world of competitive play. Highlights? Leah Khoroshevky pulled off a dazzling bishop sacrifice against Arin Telang in a stunning final game! We also saw a few nail-biting stalemate draws, reminding us all that there's no such thing as losing in chess—only learning.
