In Family Affair At ICA Early Winter Tournament

Shivani,  Sindu, and Arjun Shanmugadas Shine In Family Affair At ICA Early Winter Tournament!

With a 1^st place finish for Shivani, and a 3^rd place for Sindu the Shanmugadas won the family competition this time around.  The Shanmugadas clan did have a third member named Arjun competing in section 2, but only Shivani’s and Sindu’s point totals counted because they faired better than their brother overall. However, all three will receive a free entry for the next ICA tournament, as well as free entry for the next two Monday night prime time competitions at our Teaneck location.

Benjamin Mankowitz, and Zachary Mankowitz claimed second place with a similar score to the Shanmugadas, on the strength of a first place finish for Zach, and a strong three out of four for Benjamin.  Each will receive free entry into the next ICA competition, and free entry to the next Monday prime time tournament.

Rounding out the medal stand, Clement, and Chris Shao, took third, and each brother will receive a free chess book.
