The New School Year: The United States Chess League Is Coming To The ICA!

The New School Year:
The United States Chess League Is coming to the ICA!

Along with the NBA, NFL, and all brands of major national sports, the United States chess league is the intellectual equivalent of basketball, and football on the national level.  The first match took place September 4th at our Teaneck location, and anyone interested is more than welcome to come and watch.  The schedule for the New Jersey home team (The KnockOuts) can be found at the US chess league website (www.uschessleague.com ). Monday and Wednesday Matches will be at Fair Lawn location.

For those who feel chess isn’t a spectator sport the ICA also offers a schedule of major ICA organized tournaments throughout the school year hosted by our partners at the Bergen Academies.  The dates for these are: October 21st, December 2nd, February 10th, April 21st, and June 2nd.

Furthermore, for those who cannot wait for any of these above mentioned dates we are also pleased to continue offering our Super Saturday quads tournaments.

As usual we are continuing lessons at both ICA locations in Fair Lawn, and Teaneck, the Fall semester schedules for which can be viewed by clicking on the desired (Teaneck) or (Fair Lawn) location in this very sentence. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays we will be open in Teaneck, while Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays will see us in Fair Lawn.

Finally, for those who are grandmaster serious about their study we are also pleased to offer Saturday Master Class with the captain, and star of the New Jersey Knockouts, GM Alexander Stripunsky.
