ICA Winter Chess Camp is Right Around the Corner!

That’s right it’s that time of year again and just like Christmas, and New Year’s you can depend on us to provide a wonderful winter vacation experience for your children.

Our winter camp will run from December 23^rd to December 31^st and as was the case last year we are offering people the opportunity of signing up anywhere from one to all eight days.  Of course signing up for more days beforehand will offer more of a discount as will signing up earlier (writing a check before December 1^st nets the biggest discount overall). 

The camp will have the same schedule as our Summer camp though the one key difference will be the tournaments will not be rated and instead will be completed separately during one day of camp.  Prizes will be awarded for individual tournament wins but again as last year we will also have a camp long “Grand Prix” event where the student who wins the most individual tournaments over the whole camp will receive a bigger prize at the end of the camp.  Last year’s winner Justin Lee won his tournament section every day of the camp.

For those not familiar with our summer program our typical schedule for the camp is lessons in the morning (9 to 11 am) outside sports time (11-12:30), lunch (12:30 to 1:00) and tournaments till 3 pm.  We will also offer music, and possibly art (based on how many students sign up for the full day program) from 3pm to 5pm. 

As always we will offer many opportunities in various categories and competitions to win prizes and rewards.
